  • ( ) The Business Magazine for the Trucking Industry in Canada

Typically, trucking industry magazines are segmented as either owner/operator or fleet magazines. Today's Trucking focuses on the common ground between the two: we write about the business of trucking.

We craft a magazine that appeals to people who make the business decisions at their company, whether it's a one-truck operation or one of Canada's largest fleets. Our readers rely on Today's Trucking to help them understand equipment issues, regulatory concerns, technical challenges, and the direction of the Canadian trucking industry in the future.

    The Leading Choice

Today's Trucking is the leading choice of national advertisers who want reach truck equipment buyers in Canada. No other publication can match our investment in editorial content and circulation quality. More>>

  • ( ) So many great, new places to try

Chris Walsh debuted Bite, which serves clever small plates and creative cocktails in Hillcrest. Jonathan Pflueger returned to San Diego with Currant, his take on the American brasserie in the Hotel Sofia downtown, and Colin MacLaggan opened Avenue 5, another fresh French-inspired concept. And art meets cuisine in an edgy way at the Guild in Barrio Logan.

In North County, The Four Seasons Resort created an evening-only swank steakhouse in The Argyle clubhouse, and chef Pascal Vignau of Savory opened a breakfast-and-lunch spot centered on burgers, ECR Grille. Speaking of burgers, we now have a couple more great spots to satisfy our craving: La Jolla's Burger Lounge, serving grass-fed beef, and Neighborhood, offering burgers with gourmet toppings in the East Village.

Looking ahead, one of the year's most anticipated openings is Nobu in the Hard Rock Hotel downtown; San Diegans will no longer have to drive to L.A. More>>

  • ( ) Environmental stewards help Hillsboro with detention basins

Detention basins in Hillsborough are going to have a new look because Louise Wilkens was a student in the Rutgers Environmental Stewards program.

"I thought it was a fantastic experience," Wilkens, a retired A&T computer systems manager, said about the program. "I don't remember anything that really gave me so much that I could put to use. It covers a lot of area, so you get exposed to a lot of environmental areas."

One area studied by Wilkens led her to work on an ongoing project to transform detention basins -- open areas near subdivisions designed to collect water runoff from storms or melting snow piles.

Wilkens toured the township's six detention basins with Committeeman Paul Drake last year and helped develop a project for a Rutgers University professor to work with the township to improve the functional and aesthetic design of the basins. More>>
